Nature walk (shot on iPhone 11)

A point of clarification

Hi everybody… I wanted To clarify a couple of points…

It's important to shoot new work for this class and not recycle work taken in the past.

It's also important to transfer the full size image to your editing software. If you're emailing yourself pictures choose full-size. Don't take pictures off of your social media feeds because they'll have been stripped of all EXIF data and they will be very small in size. Small means fuzzy. Small means low quality.

If you've taken your photograph with an iPhone 12 and possibly the 11, they may not need much editing necessarily as the AI algorithms that Apple is using does much of the editing for you. Editing is for expression and enhancement when the original image is lacking or doesn't meet your original vision.

If the focal point is expressive and has light, and the edges are not distracting and perhaps a little darker as I demonstrated in the videos then there's a good chance that it won't need editing.

Please email me with any questions!

Edit for James... All please watch

I love the simplicity and clarity of this image James posted...

However, how can I edit for expression to make it even better?

Watch the video to see how to remove the excess blue, strengthen the yellow and darken the outer edges...

Bio

Hello Everyone so glad to be in this class with you all and am so grateful you are all well.
My name is Ashley Colon this is my first year at Albertus, and I am finding it to be a very wonderful environment and experience. Currently I am working in the Healthcare system at Hartford Hospital during this pandemic it was heartbreaking and mentally exhausting to watch people suffer, die, colleagues fall ill, and not be able to do anything. 1 am super grateful to everyone who did their part to get us where we are now the progress that we made.
This progress gave me the push and determination I needed to get back into getting my degree and being more impactful on the world.  I am a single mother of two who will be seen later on in pictures I post. Everyone have a great Mod and summer with the states opening maybe we can get a variety of photos and some well-deserved enjoyment.

Bio

Hey class, My name is James Mitchell, and here I am with my 11 month old girls. I just graduated from Albertus with a Bachelor's in Arts majoring in Sociology 2 weeks ago. I am excited to take this elective and learning about digital photography as pictures are something we take almost everyday. I work at an elementary school where I have been promoted to a Behavior Specialist, and I also started a side business renting bouncy houses, concession stands and other party goods. I will be taking my photos with my phone, OnePlus Nord N10 5G or my iphone XS Max.
